Hello from Cimarron and Happy new decade! 2009 was definitely a challenging year, but
thanks to many of you, my work continues to sell and receive a good response. My first year
of selling prints was successful and I’ll add a few more for this year.
I’m still painting with both pastels and oils and have been doing some larger oils. Each
media has its’ advantages and challenges and I enjoy alternating between the two.
I was fortunate to have a large piece purchased by the New Mexico Arts Division, Arts in
Public Places program for a new community center in Las Cruces. The piece was installed in
January and it looks great! This year I’m pursuing other areas to market my work such as
interior design firms. If you know of any that might be interested, please let me know.
I taught three pastel workshops in ’09, one at the Mandala Center and two at my studio. I
had an awesome time and the student response was great. There is another workshop
planned at the Mandala Center on June 4-6. Check their website, www.mandalacenter.org
for more info. I also hope to do a couple more in-studio classes this year.
The galleries that are currently handling my work are: Art Exchange Gallery in Santa Fe; M.
Phillip’s Gallery in Las Cruces, NM; Blue Moon Eclectics and Cimarron Blue in Cimarron and
most recently I am excited to again be represented by Angel Fire ArtSpace Gallery in Angel
Fire, NM. As a reminder, for those of you who have purchased from me before, I will
discount any future purchases (typically about 10%).
If you’re in the area, please stop by. My peak season hours, from mid-May to mid-
September, will be 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday-Saturday. If there’s any question about me
